"Step Inside Their Stories"

Every dollhouse begins with a story. Before I choose a single colour or piece of furniture, I imagine who lives there and the life they've created. That story guides every design decision and transforms a miniature house into a home.
Every completed dollhouse is more than a finished project, it's a collection of design ideas, decorating techniques, and storytelling principles. As you explore each one, look beyond the furniture and notice how the colours, textures, lighting, architecture, and tiny details work together to create a believable miniature world.
You'll begin to notice ideas such as:
These are the same principles I explore in greater depth throughout my online classes.

Step inside a late-1700's farmhouse where Ebenezer and Prudence Bumblepenny welcome family, celebrate traditions, and remind us that the smallest homes often hold the biggest stories.

Whether you're drawn to the warmth of a storybook farmhouse, the weathered charm of a seaside cottage, or the character-filled shelves of a whimsical garden shop, each dollhouse has something different to teach.
-Every room has a story.
-Every detail has a purpose.
-Every project begins with imagination.
-Choose a door... and step inside.
At first glance, it's easy to notice the furniture or the paint colours. But the real story is found in the details. A favourite book left on a table, a weathered fishing buoy, a handmade quilt, a collection of pottery, or a well-used teacup can reveal far more about the people who live there than the room itself.
Individually, these details seem small. Together, they create the feeling that someone has just stepped outside and could return at any moment.

Trade Wind's Estate is my current project. The idea, inspired by the warmth, elegance, and relaxed charm of West Indian Colonial design. As each room takes shape, I'll be sharing the creative process, decorating decisions, and behind-the-scenes progress here and on YouTube. I hope you'll enjoy following along.
The best miniature worlds aren't created all at once. They evolve over time as ideas grow, details are refined, and each new discovery adds another layer of character. Don't rush the process, it's often the journey that brings a dollhouse to life.
