My Roots

Hailing originally from the vibrant Caribbean, my roots trace back to the salty breezes of Trinidad where I was born and raised. Although the tropics will forever hold a special place in my heart, I've found my home in Western Canada for the past four and a half decades. A devoted wife of forty-seven years, a nurturing mother of two, a proud Grammy to a lively brood of six, and an unwavering animal lover, my life is painted with rich family moments and passions that fill each day.

A Life of Creativity

Describing a lifetime steeped in creativity is a delightful challenge, for its tapestry is woven with threads of awe-inspiring experiences. Guiding paintbrushes across canvases and nurturing the creative spirits of others has been immensely fulfilling. The world of art is an exhilarating realm where creativity takes flight, and over the years, I've been fortunate to explore its vast horizons through numerous remarkable avenues. The canvas of my journey includes owning and operating a thriving teaching art studio, crisscrossing Canada and the USA to impart painting wisdom in engaging seminars for fellow adult artists. 

I've proudly contributed to the development of educational painting programs and had the privilege of instructing under a renowned national paint brand. Furthermore, for a remarkable span of seventeen years, I was a proud co-owner of one of the pioneering online art schools of its kind, nurturing a global community of artists whose camaraderie knows no bounds.

A New Chapter

The dawning of a new chapter unfolded with the arrival of grandchildren and the gentle embrace of semi-retirement. Yes, I say gentle embrace, because I’ll probably never retire completely. This phase brought me into the enchanting realm of miniatures and dollhouses—a world of intricacy and charm that captured my imagination completely. As the pace of life shifted, this miniature universe seamlessly fused my artistic background and my passion for painting into a delightful tapestry of tiny wonders.

My New Found Passion

In the blink of an eye, a single dollhouse bloomed into a captivating collection of fourteen vintage dollhouses, each undergoing its own journey of meticulous renovation and tender restoration. As if fated, this enchanting path led to the birth of 'Neadeen's Dollhouses & Miniatures', a haven where meticulously crafted miniature dollhouse accessories spring to life, breathing soul into these diminutive abodes.

Heartfelt Joy

My odyssey from the sun-soaked Caribbean to the serene landscapes of Western Canada, from nurturing the creative sparks of fellow artists to nurturing the intricate world of miniatures, is a testament to the kaleidoscope of experiences that have colored my life. Each stroke of paint, each delicate miniature creation, is a brushstroke in the masterpiece that defines my journey—a journey that continues to unfold with boundless creativity and heartfelt joy.

Always trying to maintain order and know where everything is located.  It gives me peace of mind. ❤️
